Robert Wyatt : I was signed to Rough Trade in the early 80s and, as a result, I met some of the other people on Rough Trade, like Scritti Politti.
I did the keyboard on The Sweetest Girl. Green Gartside had the sort of punk-reggae guitar part there and he said, ‘Do you fancy playing on it?’ and because the way you play chords on piano is so different from guitar, it did change the landscape of the song completely.
