Country music vocalist Big Bill Lister records Beer Drinkin' Blues, Help Wanted and other tracks in his first recording session for Capitol Records at Castle Studios in The Tulane Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

Big Bill Lister : Some of the engineers over at WSM (radio station) set that up. WSM was the 'Air Castle of the South,' so they selected Castle for their studio name. Everybody that was recording back then recorded at Castle.

To tell you how naïve I was, Chet Atkins had just come down to the Opry with Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters, and Chet wasn't as well know then, of course, as he became, but everybody in town knew he was a heck of a guitar player except me. If I'd had known, I would have told Dee, 'Hey, let that old boy over there pick a little bit.' But he just sat there and played rhythm right behind me.
