A bronze plaque, intended as a permanent memorial to country music star John Denver, is unveiled by The California Friends of John Denver and The Windstar Foundation, close to the location where his plane crashed, killing the singer, near Pacific Grove, California, USA. The site had previously been marked by a driftwood log carved by Jeffrey Pine of Colorado displaying the singer's name.
