It is reported that Cadence Recordss in the USA is launching a new music carrying format under the name 'The Cadence Little LP'. Essentially this is a 7" 33 1/3 rpm disc featuring six tracks, aimed at the teenage market. Artists featured on the 'Little LP' format will include The
Everly Brothers, Johnny Tillotson,
The Chordettes and Eddie Hodges. (The format will not achieve any great success, although the subsequent development of 45rpm Extended Play discs (EP), usually featuring four tracks, will prove successful).
