Bill Egan (Applications Engineer, Aggreko NE) : My first involvement with Glastonbury was in 1984 when I came down after university finals to help operate the generators on site (there were only about ten of them then!). Then, in 1986, myself and Dave Carter founded Entertainment Engineering and supplied generators to the festival for several years. In 1990 we joined Templine Ltd (The first incarnation of that name is now used by a previous employee) and took over the whole site electrical supply contract, adding the traders power supply operation a few years later. I have continued to run this through a history of company takeovers from Showpower to GE Energy Rentals to Aggreko alongside other roles including being the project engineer for the temporary power supply at the Athens Olympics.
