In the evening, Alan Livingston, President of Capitol Records, throws a party for The Beatles (George Harrison does not attend) at his home in Beverly Hills, with guests including Tony Bennett, Jane Fonda, Rock Hudson, Groucho Marx, Dean Martin, Jimmy Stewart Eleanor Bron and Hayley Mills. During the day, John Lennon writes a letter home to his wife, Cynthia, expressing how unhappy he has been on this trip.

John Lennon (letter home to his wife, Cynthia) : I spend hours in dressing rooms and things, thinking about the times I've wasted not being with Julian - and playing with him - you know I keep thinking of those stupid bastard times when I keep reading bloody newspapers and other shit whilst he's in the room with us and I've decided it's ALL WRONG!... I'll go now because I'm bringing myself down thinking what a thoughtless bastard I seem to be -1 really feel like crying - it's so stupid - and I'm choking up now as I'm writing -1 don't know what's the matter with me.
