Matthieu Drouot (Deputy CEO, Gerard Drouot Productions, France) : We have promoted AC/DC’s French shows since the Stiff Upper Lip Tour in 2000/2001 at Bercy and Stade de France, and also the Black Ice Tour in 2009 and 2010. My partner and father Gerard was the first French promoter to believe they could sell-out the new Stade de France fifteen years ago. It’s safe to say he did pretty well, I still remember him playing the Stiff Upper Lip record in the car and proudly announcing to me he was going to promote the band. I was still in high school back then.
