Tom Petty : Quite a show. I really wanted to see the British bands, and The Zombies were mind-blowingly good while The Searchers had such beautiful voices, mesmerizing. And John McNally (of The Searchers) played a Telecaster, the first time I'd seen one, and it had this bright, brittle sound. I remember thinking, 'It sounds good!'
