Here’s one that might well slip between the cracks in commercial music genres but it’s well worth a listen for anyone with an inquiring mind. An experienced filmscore composer, Skeet has also worked as an arranger and orchestrator for artists including George Michael and Sinead O’Connor and he toured extensively as MD and keyboard player of The Divine Comedy. He’s now been signed to Sony Classical as a composer and, as might be expected, his music straddles the sonic landscapes of pop, rock, ambient and orchestral musics. The restlessly undulating Changing Lines and the spookily atmospheric Reflect are high points, but the whole album has much to commend it.
