Stone Roses cause criminal damage at the offices of their former label, Revolver Records in Wolverhampton, UK, by splattering paint around the offices and over the car of label owner Paul Birch. They were angered by the label re-issuing an old track, Sally Cinnamon, as a cash-in single now that they were successful.

Ian Brown (Stone Roses) : The video had shots of a black woman with a black baby and the word ‘world’ going over it. It had cuts of Manchester and it had cuts of the front cover of The Face and people reading it on Piccadilly Station. It was insulting. Not only to us, but to anyone watching it.
