Dominic Munnelly, Station Director, Metro Radio Newcastle-upon-Tyne : We have one big event, Metro Radio Christmas Live, which has been running at Newcastle Arena now for about four years. We have about a dozen pop acts, whoever is hot in the charts at the time, they come on one night and do their three or four best-known hits. It’s aimed at mums and teenage daughters, pop music. Ed Sheeran headlined it last year. Typically we’d start promoting that in September.
