Miss Hopper will become a famed gossip columnist, known for her extraordinary hats. Her hats will become so famous that, in the 1946 film Breakfast in Hollywood, Del Porter, backed by Spike Jones and his City Slickers, will sing a novelty song, A Hat For Hedda Hopper, while Hopper sits in the audience wearing an extravagantly large milliner's creation.
