The Philadelphia North American newspaper publishes an episode of the George Herriman cartoon strip Musical Mose entitled "No Use, These Days, To Try to Break Into Those Exclusive Professions." In the strip, Mose, a black musician, tries to become an Italian organ grinder but it doesn't work out.
