Full article:

Janie Hendrix (sister of Jimi) : After that (Seattle) concert we went up to Canada. He performed up in Canada. We rode in the car that he bought for my parents the first time he visited. He was so excited to ride in the car with us.

Bob Hicks (journalist) : I was a somewhat unwilling member of that Vancouver audience, having witnessed mass hysteria in the past and not wishing to repeat the experience. Even so, there was a kind of deadly fascination at the sight of 500 people, with single-mindedness, trampling forward, animal cries wrenching from their throats, as god-worship, and Hendrix, accustomed to it as he was, responding with a sad contempt, ordering the mob back to its seats before he would play, treating it with the same authority but with none of the love or respect he gave the wild electric forces within his equipment.

Mike Kellie (drummer, Spooky Tooth) : We were on tour in Canada when we bumped into The Experience at Vancouver airport. We were both on the way to respective gigs. I remember Noel suggesting that we pass the waiting time in a nearby telephone kiosk. Once we were crammed inside the kiosk, I can clearly recall the picture of him opening his briefcase and producing a joint! He always has been such a charmingly hospitable chap. I remember being really surprised, and impressed, that he had a briefcase! A true sign of success in those times!
