Dennis Willcock (vocalist, Iron Maiden) : V1 was a band formed by me and Terry Wapram after we left Iron Maiden. I was still pretty close to Steve Harris, so he came round my house to hear the demos we'd made and he liked what he heard enough to decide to use Spaceward as the studio to record what became Iron Maiden's Soundhouse tapes.
