John Steel (drummer, The Animals] : I remember that show, I think we did I'm Crying. He'd have a whole raft of people on. This was a weird one. We did the Ed Sullivan Show and didn't even get time to take our tv make-up off before we got on the plane, slept across the Atlantic and on the 19th we opened at the Odeon in Liverpool on a British tour with Carl Perkins, The Nashville Teens and Elkie Brooks. We still had the make-up on when we arrived in London, drove straight up to Liverpool and started the tour.
