Larry Kane (journalist) : The Paramount Theater was very famous at the time and being a charity fundraiser, billed as An Evening With The Beatles, it was filled with stars.

Margie Ganser (Shangri-Las) : We met wonderful Ringo Starr right here in America when we did the same benefit at The Paramount in New York that The Beatles did. He visited us in our dressing room and was so sweet.

Larry Kane : The group were due on stage at 10.45 but due to the screaming of the audience the support acts were cut short and they came on stage at ten instead. Outside there were 100,000 fans and about 200 police. After the show the band sped off to the Motor Inn, which was just outside what is now Kennedy Airport. It was all hush-hush, no-one knew they were there and they spent their last evening in the US very sedately. Paul had gone off somewhere but the rest of the band just hung out with friends who had been invited up to their rooms.

Mal Evans (Beatles road manager) : During that American tour each of us lost one and a half stone in sweat.
