Deacon John Moore (audience) : I was one of the only black kids there. I thought The Beatles were really refreshing because they incorporated rhythm and blues as well as pop elements. It was totally unique and seeing it during my formative years as a musician, I embraced it. I thought, 'Hey, I'm not just a guy who can sound like Wilson Pickett or James Brown. I can do this too.'
