Graham Nash (The Hollies) : Coming from Manchester we hadn't seen anything like that (Rolling Stones) before. They didn't appear to be copying anybody and they seemed very free – they were obviously something different and didn't seem to give a fuck.
Keith Richards (guitarist, Rolling Stones) : We were still sleeping in the back of this truck every night because of the most hard-hearted and callous roadie I've ever encountered – Stew. From one end of England to another in Stew's Volkswagen bus. With just an engine and a rear window and all the equipment and then you fit in. The gear first though.

Eric Harris : The Stones' appearance at The Outlook was (confirmed) via a ledger of receipts found by Barry Faulkner, when he reopened the 'cellar' to create 'Ossies' bar in the mid '80's. The signature of Mick Jagge r(as band-leader receiving the fee), was crossed out and Brian Jones's signature written alongside.Barry later gave this historic 'document' to (club owner) John McCoy. There was also a Mick Jagger signature scrawled on the plasterwork of the l/hand stage 'column'.
