Bernard Rhodes (manager, the Clash) : When people say why did you sign to CBS, it was because Obie (Maurice Oberstein, MD of CBS UK) said to me, 'Bernard, I know fuck-all about this sort of music, or any sort of music, so I'm gonna let you do what you like. I've got so much else to get on with. Just don't let me down.' And I thought, 'Yes, all right, let's go.'
