Bill Wyman (bassist, Rolling Stones) : We stood on a big box about as big as a room and played to these cowboys who were wandering about, looking at the rodeo or the agricultural displays. We shared the bill with Bobby Vee, who we thought was a bit of a joke. His band were all wearing Bermuda shorts on stage.
