Fact #101862

When:

Short story:

Cream play at The Bromel Club, Bromley Court Hotel, Bromley, Kent, UK.

Full article:

Peter Frampton (guitarist, The herd/Humble Pie) : I remember going to a little club in Bromley, where I lived, and I saw Cream play. It was the first time I saw the double 100 watt Marshall stacks, and they went from the stage to the ceiling. Right away, that was an eye-opener and then the sound was so loud. And Humble Pie started with small amps but we graduated to the huge Marshalls too. We had started off with little Vox amps and we'd ended up with 200 watts of Marshall. It just got louder. And the louder we got, the more brazen it got.
