Vic Briggs : We weren't drug abusers, but we were certainly heavy drug users. And there was a dark side: It was becoming obvious that management was taking us to the cleaners. Everything was disappearing and tensions became unbearable, so I left in '68.?


A year later, I heard Ram Das, a psychedelic pioneer and a key figure in American spirituality, speak. I was so fired up. On December 26, 1969, I had a bottle of wine and some cold leftover turkey, and when I finished, I said, 'OK, now I've gone cold turkey.' That was the end of alcohol, drugs and meat.??


That's when I became a student of Kundalini, which is an incredibly powerful kind of yoga. It was the nearest thing I had experienced to drugs without doing drugs, so I became an instructor.?? With a family to support, I had a shadow life as a restaurant plumbing contractor - I was a vegetarian plumbing Burger Kings!


I had also been studying the sacred music of the Sikhs, gurbani kirtan. After having a profound vision in 1992, I changed my name to Antion, which means 'Royal Star of the Lion.'
