Billy Cox (bassist) : That (Hear My Tain A Comin') was a song Jimi had done with the original Experience. It was a simple blues song in the key of B, but he felt comfortable doing it because it was Jimi's kind of blues. I think the lyrics he had for the song, about coming back to buy the town and put it all in his shoe, was his way of talking back to the establishment. That was Jimi's way of singing the blues. People weren't going to be able to push him out of the way, because he was going to get rich and buy the town out from under them.
