Juma Sultan (percussionist) : You could see that the two men that were flanking Mike Jeffery, plus the driver, were armed. It was visible. They were carrying guns.


They went upstairs with Jimi, and then the driver comes up and put a target up about twenty five yards away, near a tree, pulls out his .38 and POW! POW! - bullseyes every time - while the conversation with Jimi is going on.


It was obvious that it was meant to send a message. 'Milk the cow until it dies,' would be my phrase.
