Blues and jazz guitarist Wayne Bennett dies aged 60 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, one week before he is scheduled to have a heart transplant. During a lengthy and acclaimed career he worked with blues musicians including Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker and Elmore James, as well as with jazz musicians, including Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Stitt and Dexter Gordon.
