In one of the worst air show disasters in history, three Italian Aermacchi MB-339 fighter jets collide in mid-air at the Ramstein air base, Germany, Europe, killing seventy people and causing serious injuries to 346 others. The group Rammstein will take its name from this horrific event and will also write a song entitled Rammstein.
