The Warner Music Group reports that, although overall revenue dropped by 1% in the last full fiscal year, digital revenue rose by 39%, to $639m, representing 18% of the company's total revenue. Atlantic Records, a label within Warner Music Group, says it has become the first label with more than half its music sales in the United States derived from digital products, including iTunes downloads and cellphone ring tones.

Channel 4 TV in the UK broadcasts a documentary called High Society's Favourite Gigolo, about the life of 'Hutch' (aka Leslie Hutchinson), who was one of the biggest cabaret stars in the world during the 1920s and 1930s.
