The Independent newspaper reports that an inquest in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, UK, Europe, was recently told that, "Lord Harlech's sister, Alice Ormsby Gore, 42, who was once engaged to the rock guitarist Eric Clapton, died after taking a drug overdose at her flat." She had been found dead, with a syringe still in her arm, having taken six times the dose of heroin required to kill a human being.
