Albert 'Abbie' Brunes is born in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The son of a celebrated New Orleans musical family, cornettist Brunies will become the leader of the Halfway House Orchestra at the Halfway House Club in New Orleans, from 1919 to 1927. The Orchestra will record for Okeh Records in 1925.
