George Hormel is born. During the 1950s and 1960s, as Geordie Hormel, he will compose music for tv shows including The Fugitive, Lassie, Naked City and The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin. In 1968, he will found The Village Recorder Studio in Los Angeles, California, which will go on to become a major independent recording studio, used by The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, The Doors and countless others.
