It is announced that Eric Clapton hopes to raise $750,000 from an auction of 100 of his 150 guitars, as a benefit for Crossroads Center, his alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility on Antigua, Caribbean. He says, "I wanted to make a gesture to draw attention to the Crossroads Center and demonstrate the extent of my personal commitment."
