Arthur Scott is born in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. He will find success as a pioneering jazz musician, playing banjo and guitar, under the name Bud Scott. He will work with King Oliver, Kid Ory, Jelly Roll Morton and others. (He should not be confused with the other Bud Scott, who was a saxophonist and bandleader in the same era.)
