Alexander Sinclair of RSO Records in London, England, UK, Europe, sends a letter to Mr. P. Hewson of Dublin, Eire, rejecting the tape of his band U2. "We have listened with careful consideration," writes Sinclair, "but feel it is not suitable for us at present." RSO Records was owned by Robert Stigwood, who presumably had other things on his mind, including his acts such as The Bee Gees and Eric Clapton, not to mention the soundtrack albums for Saturday Night Fever and Grease.
