Australian songwriters Sean Carey and Beau Golden file a complaint in the federal court, New York City, USA, stating that the song The Rest of Our Life, co-written by Ed Sheeran for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw amounts to "blatant copying" of their own 2014 composition When I Found You. Carey and Golden's legal suit seeks $5m (£3.7m) in damages plus profits, royalties and an award of attorney's fees, as well as injunctive relief.



Radiohead's music publishing company, Warner/Chappell music issues a statement denying that they or the group are suing Lana Del Rey over similarities between her track Get Free and Radiohead's Creep. Del Rey had recently claimed that Radiohead was suing her to obtain 100 per cent of the publishing rights to Get Free.
