Mrs Miller, famed in the 1960s for her out of tune renditions of popular songs including Downtown and Moon River, dies in the Garden Terrace Retirement Center, Vista, California, USA, aged 89. Her voice was described by one writer as resembling the sound of "roaches scurrying across a trash can lid."
