Mick Fleetwood (drummer, Fleetwood Mac) : When Peter appeared on Top Of The Pops with his beard down to here, a big crucifix and a monk's robe - that wasn't theatre, that was him. Then he started talking to the press, and I kept telling him, Pete, people are going to get the wrong idea; not only are you being misquoted, but it's making you look like a kook. He was very bright, but he was an East End lad and it just doesn't come off right: 'Oh I dunno, I just want to give all my money away'. He was on a crusade in his mind, and we had no idea how deep he was really getting into it. Having been a very ambitious person who was aware that he had a power, that power ended up repulsing him.
