Fact #94871

When:

Short story:

Bobby 'Boris' Pickett and the Crypt Kickers release a new single, Monster Mash, on Garpax Records in the USA.

Full article:

Bobby 'Boris' Pickett : We [The Cordials] were an a capella doo wop group. We'd do Sunday Kind Of Love, Hey Senorita and originals written by the group's leader, Lenny Capizzi. We also did Little Darlin' in which I would do the monologue in a Boris Karloff voice.

I thought Monster Mash would amuse a few of my weird friends and family. I never thought it would get any airplay.

After Monster Mash's success, I wanted to do a straight record, like Frankie Avalon or Bobby Vee.
