Michael Kamen, the composer, conductor and orchestral arranger who worked with many rock acts including Pink Floyd, Metallica, Eric Clapton, Queen, David Bowie, dies aged 55 of a heart attack in London, England, UK, Europe. He had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1997. Kamen was also a founding member of the innovative classical crossover band the New York Rock And Roll Ensemble in the late 1960s.
