Rod Goodway, a young rock'n'roll vocalist from Calne, plays his first live gig with his friend, drummer Pat Murphy. The band, as yet, has no name but they will become Rod And The Sceptres, and then The Pack. As The Pack, they will enjoy some chart success with their version of Do You Believe in Magic, originally recorded by The Lovin' Spoonful.
