Monkton Farleigh resident Midge Ure receives an honorary degree from Abertay University, Dundee, Scotland, UK, Europe, in recognition of his musical and humanitarian achievements. In a long and successful career, Ure has been a member of the groups Slik, Rich Kids and Ultravox before co-founding the Band Aid/Live Aid phenomenon.
