Jeffrey Kruger (publisher) : Copyrights are something that you should never give away. It may be twenty years from the time a song comes out to the time it becomes a hit. In 1982 I heard “Money’s Too Tight To Mention” by the Valentine Brothers, a young black act out of LA, and I loved it and acquired the song but we couldn’t get it into the charts. A few years later Simply Red recorded it and it put them on the map.
