Alf Bicknell (chauffeur to The Beatles) : John and Paul had written a song for Ringo to perform on the Help! album, If You've Got Troubles. He recorded it but they didn't think it had worked out very well. John and Ringo were sitting in John's dining room with Neil Aspinall and myself. John was trying to think of a song that Ringo could do instead. He had never sung Act Naturally before, but he tried it out with us singing and banging on the table. He recorded it the next day.
