Roy Hamilton. Unfortunately, the event is marred by torrential rain. Nevertheless, local deejay Zenas Sears unofficially records the show with a single mike hung above the stage. The recording sounds so good that Jerry Wexler of
Atlantic Records decides to release it as a live album, under the title
Ray Charles In Person.
