Ian Tilton (photographer, Sounds) : Sounds had championed them right at the start, when they were virtually unknown in Britain. Me and a journalist, John Robb, went over to the New Music Seminar in New York to do them and their label-mates Tad. I stayed on their floor for about five days. We all literally crashed out together every night. They were out gigging and I photographed them for the cover.
