T-Bone Burnett (guitarist) : The first half of that tour could arguably be said to be Dylan's best tour. It was really spiritual and really beautiful. On the second night, Dylan started with a solo version of Simple Twist Of Fate. I wept. It was so beautiful and so painful. There were lots of moments like that on the tour.

Roger McGuinn : It was just a blast, from the time we started rehearsing in Greenwich Village to the end at the Astrodome in Houston. There was a great sense of camaraderie. It was like an old sort of Vaudeville revue almost.
