During two weeks of field recordings supervised by producer Ralph Peer in the warehouse of The Taylor-Christian Hat Company on State Street, Bristol, Tennessee, USA, the first family of country music, The Carter Family, undertake their very first recording session. They record Bury Me Beneath The Willow, The Storm Is On The Ocean and Single Girl, Married Girl for Vocalion Records. The two weeks of recording will become enshrined in the annals of country music as The Bristol Sessions.
