A report is made at 11.17am to the Sheriff's Office in Twentynine Palms, California, USA, that a funeral casket has been found burning on Cap Rock in The Joshua Tree National Monument. It later transpires that the occupant of the coffin is Gram Parsons of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, whose body and casket had been stolen from Los Angeles airport the night before.
