Paul McCartney : You never got to lie-in because you had to go to school every morning, so the first chance was Saturday morning. You could lie-in and just as you were sort of waking from this wonderful golden slumber you'd flick on the radio by the side of your bed, if you were lucky enough to own one and you'd hear, 'Welcome to Saturday Club!' And they'd be playing these great songs. Its host, Brian Matthew, is one of the great radio voices. It was the best day of the week. You got a lie-in and then you got some rock'n'roll.
