Otis Blackwell (songwriter/producer) : Tex Ritter was my idol. In my neighbourhood there was a movie theater called The Tompkins Theater. I used to sit in there from morning til night watching cowboy pictures and cartoons. So I grew up with cowboys, and Tex Ritter was my man. I would have preferred to sing country songs.
